Treatment of Periodontal Disease
Periodontal disease, caused by bacteria that destroy the supporting structure of your teeth, may lead to bone and/or tooth loss. Recent research indicates periodontal disease may lead to systemic health risks as well. Dr. Carnevale and his staff will provide treatments to manage your periodontal disease.
Crown Lengthening
During a crown lengthening procedure, Dr. Carnevale will re-shape excess gum and bone tissue to expose more of the natural tooth to enable your dentist to restore it.
Cosmetic Periodontal Procedures
Dr. Carnevale offers procedures to improve the look of your gums. He can add, reduce, or re-shape gum tissue to give you a smile you are happy to show.
Oral Diagnosis and Biopsy
Dr. Carnevale is trained to identify abnormalities in the mouth. Along with skilled pathologists, he will evaluate tissue biopsies to reach an accurate diagnosis.
Implants
If you’ve lost a tooth or teeth, dental implants may be the best option for you. During the procedure, Dr. Carnevale will place an artificial tooth root into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge in place. Many people prefer the natural looking and feeling implants to dentures or bridges that attach to and weaken healthy teeth.
